Tornado Watch, Pooh Bear, Baseball, and a Fat Rodent

If you saw my Bible Study Blog, you'd know that yesterday we were under a tornado watch. I think it lasted from 10:oo PM to 5:00 AM. If you are like I used to be you probably do not know the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning. A tornado watch means that the conditions are ripe for a tornado to form and you need to prepare for the possibility...watch out! A tornado warning means that you best be in a safe place like a basement with no windows or a bathtub with a mattress over you because one is formed and headed your way. Consider yourself warned.

Well, last night I unplugged everything (even the phone lines and cable to the computer) but the refridgerator and the microwave (since I cannot get to the stupid plug) stayed in their sockets. This is because the lightning storms around here can strike your house and fry anything in an outlet. Since we have a BRAND NEW HIGH SPEED COMPUTER WITH CABLE!!!! I didn't want to chance it. Oh, did you hear? I got a BRAND NEW HIGH SPEED COMPUTER WITH CABLE!!!!

Well, since I am typing this, you probably can see that we survived the storm...didn't even get the promised golf-ball sized hail let alone a tornado. We had about 15 mins of downpour and a lot of wind but that's it. I tell you, my boys were praying down a storm! We sure felt his angels around us last night. We slept in the basement living room last night. The boys asked if they could do it again tonight but I said no...I know, Mean ol' Mommy! I took a picture...don't have a digital so you'll have to wait for Wal-Mart to develop them after we finish the roll. Heh. That reminds me of the time I was out in a storm taking pictures...but that will have to be a different post. Yes, my mind is rambling. What is next on my title's list?

Pooh Bear!

Yea. Okay, so we have kids and our bathroom has been decorated with Pooh Bear stuff for the last 4 or 5 years. We used to have a Pooh Bear shower curtain but it ripped a while back and since the rest of the decor has the Pooh gang playing with ducks, we had a duck shower curtain. Well, that ripped now...and worst of all, the bathroom we now have has a flower border with a black background.

So, we set out to find a Pooh border, Pooh drape, Pooh shower curtain, Pooh trash can (that broke when moving in), and a Pooh soap holder (it broke too...while inside the Pooh trash can that Dave dropped). Did you know that NO ONE has Pooh bathroom stuff anymore???? We checked everywhere! For TWO WEEKS!!!

Finally I went back to Wal-Mart for upteenth time in one week (vainly seeking the Pooh) and I looked UP. Huh. On the very top shelf where no-one can reach, I saw a hint of baby blue on a trash can. We used a curtain rod to manuever it down...and it was POOH BEAR! Not the ducky one but one with butterflies. I can handle that. Behind the can was...dun dun duuuun...a soap dish and a lotion dispensor!!! NO WAY!!! Alas, no shower curtain, border, or drapes but we were half way there!

Now, just this week we went to Rose's (it is a discount store here in the South) and we passed by the towels...A SHOWER CURTAIN!!! Yeah...it was Pooh Bear... with the butterflies (I'm doing a little jig here...the Mimi happy dance!) We bought TWO (only $5 each!)

Later we were in Lowe's (the hardware and garden store) and passed the wallpaper section and just for kicks I looked...they have the border to order. (Maybe drapes too???) Can't afford it at the moment (we spent all our money on this BRAND NEW HIGH SPEED COMPUTER WITH CABLE!!!! ) But at least we know where it is!

Baseball...

It is now baseball and T-ball season for the boys and I feel like a taxi. I tell ya! Twice a week for both boys (sometimes three for Keegan) two hours each practice! I can't decide if I like it better when they both have practice on the same day (which are at different times in different areas) or on different days (making me drive every day to the field.) Oh well, at least they are out there having fun, getting exercise, meeting kids, and getting dirty. :)

Fat Rodent...

Lastly, this is how I've been feeling lately...guess I'm glad it is Spring and I can start walking outside and gardening...get some exercise so I will stop looking like this:

MAN...I'M GETTING SO FAT
I CAN HARDLY SCRATCH MY OWN BUTT!!

Yay, Mimi! Stories with happy endings are always good, especially if they involve Pooh Bear. Did you know I can sing most of the songs from Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh?

And the rain rain rain came down down down
in rushing, rising rivlets

Just like your neighborhood! Heh!
