Dark Hour by Ginger Garrett: My Opinion

As a member of the CFBA as well as FIRST, I have the privilage to blog about Ginger Garrett 's novel, Dark Hour, twice this month.

You can refer to my previous post to read a question and answer time with Ginger Garrett as well as read the first chapter of Dark Hour.

The publicists for Ginger have agreed to a book contest for each CFBA member's blog post on Dark Hour! It is up to the member on how they judge which commenter wins the free book...so, comment and you might become a winner!

My personal review:

I am usually not a history buff...I do love the Bible but am not into the dry history of it all.

Ginger Garrett did a great job of making history exciting. The evilness of the antagonist was so intriguing that I just had to keep reading to see if she would 'get it' in the end.

I also loved the way she handled how the king could go so bad when he had been raised by such a good father.

After reading Dark Hour, I look forward to getting Ginger's other novel, Chosen.

About the Author:

Ginger Garrett is an acclaimed novelist and expert in ancient women's history.

Her first novel, Chosen, was recognized as one of the best five novels of the year by the Christian publishing industry. Ginger enjoys a diverse reader base and creates conversation between cultures.

In addition to her 2006 and 2007 novels about the most evil women in biblical history, she will release Beauty Secrets of the Bible (published by Thomas Nelson) in Summer 2007.

Ginger Garrett's Dark Hour delves into the biblical account of Jezebel's daughter and her attempt to end the line of David.

Thanks for those encouraging words! I have it on very good authority that all bad guys will "get it" in the end! :)
