Noodles and Milk

We've dealt with a bit of sickness in our house this week. First Keegan had some sort of stomach bug which came up (yes, literally) right after his baseball game on Tuesday. It is not uncommon for him to get headaches, toss his cookies, and then feel surprisingly better. Well, that night he said he felt better so I let him eat dinner.

Oops!

The next 3 hours were spent getting rid of the dinner with the help of Ralph...if you get my drift.

So, here I was giving a bath to Evan when Keegan comes running in to speak with his porcelain friend. It is one of the nastiest things in the world, being stuck in a bathtub while someone upchucks right next to you. You can hear the thuds of stuff hitting the water. Lovely. I held the washcloth over my mouth and tried to ignore the sounds. What do you think Keegan said after paying homage?
"Mom, never eat noodles and milk before throwing up. It looks so gross and tastes awful."
Thank you, son. If I had trouble picturing it before, I have a grand picture as well as taste to go along with the sound and smell now.
Boys are so much fun.
Along with Keegan and the flu thing, Evan now has a runny nose and a temp of 100.9 degrees F. So, needless to say, we have not had a grand week. I hope next week is better...it can't get much worse than noodles and milk, can it?

After posting this, I went to my friend Ciera's Blog. In her comments was this link. Yes, it could have been worse. Please join me in praying for this family and their child.

I already felt sick reading this, haha.
I hope both boys are feeling much better.
It could have been worse, reading that link you put up! I will remember them in my prayers. And all of you as well:-)

Have a great and blessed weekend.

God's Grace.

Ugh! When my kids get sick like that I always feel like I have a huge bullseye on my forehead, because I'm next.

Bleah!

This was indeed a treat to read, and oh so true, though only a child would have the foresight to reexamine what not to eat before bringing it back up. Perhaps it's wise to take stock of the menu in contemplation of the bathroom visit shortly thereafter. Hilarious and poignant at once!

It's like we are living next store...because here I am, my husband just left to be out of town for a few days, and my little guy has had the help of Ralph about six times now. And I should spare you the details but - one time was actually all over me - ewww - and besides Noodles and Milk - I think Pizza is right up there - and hard to get out of the carpet!!

Hope you guys get well soon - and I am praying like crazy that the rest of us don't get it!

We had a 24 hour flu bug here...not good times. None of us could keep anything down, not even water! So, I hope he is feeling better!

Oh, I will definitely pray for you and the others. Being sick is no fun for a kid, and really not fun for Mom.

No Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies either. Or JuJuBee candies. Geez, I threw up a lto as a kid but I'll spare you the details. One thought- the bit about having a headache and throwing up and feeling better, does Keegan get migraines? Cause I know you do, and that's what mine were like when I was a kid..

Well, I'm still alive everyone...but Ballpoint Wren (Bonnie) was right. I had a target on my forehead and was too preoccupied to notice. I was really sick for the last three days or so. Not the flu but Evan's cold/fever thing. Ug. Phlem-o-rama. It is mostly gone now and I surprisingly do not have pneumonia! Horrah! Thanks for all your comments. I'll be doing another post soon...a book review! It was an awesome book and I cannot wait to tell you all about it!
